AM Practices Assessment

We work with clients to undertake this point-of-departure exercise to assess Asset Management maturity, establish the gap between current practices relative to the ISO/SANS 55000 standard, leading to the development of an Asset Management Improvement Plan. Subsequent annual assessments are carried out to monitor progress and fine tune improvement initiatives.

Asset Management Framework Development & Implementation

We assist our clients in the development of an applicable asset management framework. Framework components for development and implementation include an Asset Management Policy, a Strategic Asset Management Plan, Sector Asset Management Plans, Asset Management Processes & Procedures, and an Asset Management Data & Information Strategy.

Asset Verification and Condition Assessment

We facilitate activities relating to establishing WHAT assets an organisation has, WHERE the assets are and WHAT CONDITION the assets are in. This is important for both compliance and asset life cycle planning purposes.

Asset Lifecycle Management (Including Maintenance Strategy and Plan Development)

We partner with our clients in the process of managing asset throughout their entire lifespan, from initial planning and procurement, through operation and maintenance to eventual disposal or replacement. The objectives are optimizing asset utilization, minimizing costs, and maximizing the return on investment (ROI).

 

Business Process Review and Improvement

Together with our client teams, we review current processes, identify issues and opportunities and document improved “To-Be” processes for implementation.

Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) Advisory

We guide our clients through the development of business and functional requirements for Enterprise Asset Management Systems. Where an EAMS is currently implemented, we will review its effectiveness and make recommendations for addressing gaps, improvement and replacement, where necessary. We will also assist in the processes of system selection and implementation quality assurance.

Pre-transaction Due Diligence Undertakings

We will conduct Asset Management due diligence exercises to assess existing Asset Management practices and establish risks and opportunities related to the target asset portfolio and related AM system. We will perform AM practices benchmarking studies as may be necessary.

Assessment of Asset Management Risk for Insurance purposes

We will conduct assessments of inherent and residual risks of assets and AM systems as input into insurance pricing / premium calculations for both insurers and asset owners. We will also provide insight into the factors that determine the likelihood and potential impact of adverse events.
